Todkammer (or Todeskammern)

The series of Todkammer (or todeskammern) started in 2001 with the painting on Padre Pio with baboon and continues even though I was critical of necrophilia and bad taste. I paint people who are celebrities and controversial men in the history of the Twentieth Century that are part of the symbolic media landscape in a kind of mythology that underpins our collective brain. The books of James G. Ballard has had a huge influence on me.
